Because my parents thought that dancing was an important part of my education, I started dancing ballroom and latin American at the age of 7. Luckily for them, I was hooked straight away. I took all my medals and as soon as I was old enough (13) I started competing. By the age of 20 I had won several national titles and represented my country in International competitions. In the meantime I had also moved to England, as this was the dancing centre of the Universe. In my long dancing career we were taught lots of different dances and disciplines outside the Ballroom and Latin American syllabus such as sequence, salsa, mambo, meringue, argentine tango etc.
Once I stopped competing, I taught for a while but missed the challenges. I did my qualifications under pressure from my husband and since then have discovered that I love teaching and learning different styles. I am absolutely delighted and very excited to have teamed up with James, who is not only a very good dancer but also a very nice person. Together we hope to build a strong base and whilst having fun, teach to the best of our abilities.
