It is modern jive with a twist - adding styling and technique from other disciplines like Modern Jive, Salsa, Tango, Swing, Jive, Paso Doble, Salsa etc. Therefore it is Fun, Sexy, Stylish and easy to learn. We are using the same moves and more but try and stylise them so that you will feel great leading them and LADIES we make sure you look fabulous. The biggest difference between modern jive and latin style jive is the technique, musical expression and style. IS IT EASY TO LEARN? Yes, it is incredibly easy to learn and we guarantee that you will be able to dance quite a few moves by the end of your fun night. No complicated footwork at all! We are also lucky to have a very competent, friendly and helpful crew, who are keen to help you with any problems you might have (dance wise). Please do ask them and us, James and Alex, for a dance. We are there for YOU. BEGINNERS Beginners class starts at 7.45 and lasts for 45 minutes. This class is aimed at beginners and people who would like to polish up on some of the moves with technique, momentum and musical expression. etc. upto  This is followed by 15 minutes of Freestyle to practise your newly acquired moves/skills. At 8.45 there will be another chance to go over the same moves with a member of our crew. INTERMEDIATES Intermediates class starts at 8.45 and lasts for 30 minutes. This class is aimed at people who are familiar with the beginner moves. We will teach you a number of moves varying from easy to hard but always a variety of levels at one particular time. We will then repeat the hard move the week after in order to consolidate and improve, which is where we want to be different. We want the man to lead the ladies into the various moves with style and the confidence to make the lady look great. Ladies we want you to know some of the feminine touches that will make you stand out from the rest. After the class we will practise the moves and dance freestyle with you all night long. WHAT IS FREESTYLE? Dancing the night away to popular chart music, practising your new moves or just string your own moves together. Freestyle starts at 9.15 and finishes at 10.30. We aim to ........ help! DO I NEED TO BRING A PARTNER? No, you don't need to bring a partner. For both beginner and intermediate classes we rotate partners all the time so you get a chance to meet new people and get comfortable with different leading/following styles. We encourage everyone to get up and ask someone to dance. The more people you dance with the better you get. Therefore you will feel right at home in no time at all. WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC IS PLAYED? Latin Style Jive can be danced to all types of music ranging from Motown to Kylie to Michael Buble. On any regular night you will hear a mix of Modern Pop tunes all the way through to the Rat Pack era. This makes Latin Style Jive very flexible and allows you to dance it at Weddings, Night Clubs, Tea Dances, Parties and many other occasions. HOW DO I GET BETTER QUICKER? Easy...
